How Do Internet Paid Surveys Pay Me?

May 8th, 2007

How Do I Get Paid through Online Paid Surveys?

When you receive a survey invitation via email it should specify what type of reward is provided upon completion of the survey.

Some surveys are rewarded with points - which can later be converted to cash or gifts, some may place you in a drawing for cash or a prize. If the survey pays “cash” it will most often be via a PayPal account or check. Upon completion of the survey, if further information is required from you for payment, such as address, PayPal account info, etc. you will be prompted to enter it at that time. For a PayPal payment, you just need to give them the email address you have connected to your PayPal account.

Some of the better paid survey databases sites will list how specific market research companies typically pay. While that seems like a good feature, and has it’s use, you may be better off ignoring it at first. The market research sites you are registering with conduct surveys or focus groups for a wide variety of clients. Those clients often determine the payment amount or type of reward for a given survey, so it’s impossible to say that “site xyz” always pays cash. The best approach is to register with every site you are eligible for and then evaluate the survey offers as you receive them.

The frequency and time frame for payments will be determined by the company offering the survey and should be specified in the survey invitation or upon completion. You will have to check with each survey company’s site to view your account status regarding points, etc. Each of the companies handles their payments independently.

The paid survey database you joined will not have a record of what sites you’ve registered with or what surveys you have completed. You are functioning as an independent contractor, so that is your responsibility. You can expand the chart you used for registering with the sites to include information about paying surveys you have completed. Keep a record of which site offered the survey, the date taken, the reward/payment earned, as well as contact information in the event that future inquiry is necessary. How much detail you want to track is up to you.

Income Expectations

If you think you can register with 15 or 20 sites and then sit back and wait for the $20 surveys to roll in, you haven’t fully understood the concept yet.

The amount of money you make will depend upon specific factors in your profile, your geographic location, the number of companies you register with, your work ethic, the current needs of the survey companies and other variables. You are not going to become rich overnight, but you can make some extra cash if you are consistent and patient. It works best as a supplemental income, particularly when you are getting started. Some people have developed enough momentum to establish a full time income over time.

Registering with as many sites as you are eligible for is essential. Time is another crucial factor. Some of the sites may only offer surveys once a month, so depending on where your registration hits in their cycle, it can take a month or more before you will begin to see offers from some of the sites. But, if you register with 100 or 200 or 300 sites, the gaps between surveys will start to fill in.

Paid Online Survey Invitations

Online Surveys and Survey Invitations

Okay, I’ve got my online paid surveys registration thing down. What happens next?

As you continue with your registrations, start checking your survey email account several times a day. You will begin receiving email from the sites you have registered with. If you do not start to see email arriving in that account within a few days, you may have a problem with a spam blocker.

Be sure all filters or spam blockers are turned off for that account. Spam blockers are useful for personal accounts, but you do not want a valid survey opportunity to be blocked.

Many of the first emails will be acknowledgements of your registrations, welcoming you as a new member, but you will also begin receiving invitations to surveys. In the email will be a link to a website.

Click the link to load the web page where you will take the survey. The survey invitation should also state how the survey will be rewarded - cash, points, gift certificates, etc.

Tell Me More about These Surveys

There are hundreds of market research sites that each conduct surveys for a variety of companies. The surveys vary over time with the needs and requests of the companies represented. Many are related to new product development and effective marketing and advertising techniques for products. Some are very specific such as in technical areas like computing.

The surveys are designed to get your honest opinions on various topics, such as what kind of products you buy, why you choose one product over another, what you think of certain products and how much they cost, how much you spend on various products, etc

The surveys are conducted online and may consist of something as simple as questions with multiple choice answers. Others may be a study where you need to read about a particular situation and then respond to questions about that “case”.

The content or subjects of the surveys can vary widely based on the need of the companies.

Here are some examples:
• Customer Satisfaction
• Product Surveys
• Movie Trailers
• Service Evaluation
• New Product Marketing
• Website Evaluation
• Computer Hardware/Software
• Health Care
• Travel
• Academic Course Evaluation or Training.

It is important if you want to make money with online paid surveys that you maximise your possibilities of getting loads of surveys to fill out. To do this we recommend you signup for a paid survey database site like Survey Scout.

Online Paid Survey Registration Tips

May 6th, 2007

Paid Survey Registration Pointers and Tips

Each site will request that you enter login information. This will give you access to the member areas of their site. Usually this consists of your survey email address and a password. You should be able to use the same password repeatedly with the sites. That eliminates the problem of trying to remember which password you used with which site. If you do have to use a different password for certain sites you can make note of that in your tracking chart. Or let the auto-completion software remember it for you.

You may need to log into certain sites at a later date to check earnings or to update your profile with that site. Some sites offer surveys directly on their site in addition to sending out email invitations. Be sure to check back often with the sites that do that.

If you receive an error message when you click the link for a survey site, it could be just a temporary ISP error. Move on to another registration link and try that link again later.

A good survey database site will keep their listing up-to-date and continually weed out sites that are no longer active.

Click here to check out our recommended Paid Survey Database provider.

As you register with some sites, they may have checkboxes, which are initially checked, that indicate that you want to receive additional information about other offers, or that you agree to share your profile information with other sites. If you don’t uncheck those boxes, you may receive a lot of non-survey email.

When completing a registration with one site you may be presented with offers to join several other sites. It’s best to decline those offers and stick with only the sites listed in your database listing which have been verified by the site administrator.

Some sites require that you click a link in the acknowledgement email to complete the registration process, so be on the lookout for those and take that extra step if required. Not all sites will email you confirming your registration.

If you want to make sure you are registered with a particular site, try logging into the member area of their site. If you are given access that means they have processed your registration.

Avoid Online Paid Survey Scams

May 5th, 2007

How to identify potential paid survey scams?

Each day the number of market research companies seeking surveyors is expanding. Paid Online surveys attract people because of its fun element and the fact that they get paid simply for taking a survey or taking part in a paid survey group. The ease and convenience makes it a very lucrative option for stay-at-home moms and students wanting to make some easy money.

Many companies are paying for real people to test out their products and give them their opinions. But this trend is being wreaked by scammers who prey on naivety and online paid surveys are being commercialized by such people who make fantastical claims and net innocent people into paying for what should be free.

Sifting through all the fraudulent sites can be a very tough task indeed and many find that they have signed up for such scam websites.

Dead links, banner ads, lack of customer service and no refunds can be clear signals of the site being a fraud, but sadly many fall into these traps.

These are some of the ways you can tell the authenticity of any paid survey network:
• How long have they been in business? Less than a year means that the site is still in the fledgling stages.
• Are there any helpful resources and articles and/or feedback available to newcomers?
• Is the site endorsing any company or product? Are they planning to send you promotional emails and newsletters? Sites like that can’t be bona fide because market research firms cannot be biased towards any product.
• What are their site terms and privacy policies?
• Is their customer service response time more than 24-48 hours? And do they have a valid company address and other details?
• Is their site updated frequently?
• Do they ask for any personal details or ask you to make payments or give them any commission?
• Are you eligible immediately or are you put in an indefinite queue?
• Are you being offered fantastic prizes for signing up or promised thousands of dollars weekly?

If they satisfy these conditions the chances are high that they are a real market research company looking for genuine survey takers. If you see anything untoward do not sign up with the company or give them any details, chances are that they are a hoax.

Though you need to be careful about the people you interact with on the internet, there are genuine companies or paid survey administrating organizations and guides that can help you get real offers. Beware and have fun.

The Paid Survey Registration Process

May 5th, 2007

The Paid Survey Registration Process

Click the link of the first site you’d like to register with. Your listing may provide both a main page link and a registration link. If you’d like to view general information about the site first, click the main page link.

To go directly to the registration page, click that link. Before you actually fill out the registration form, you may want to take a few minutes to read the site’s membership
agreement. That will indicate how they will be using the information you provide to them, and how they will be paying you…

PayPal, check etc. Only sign up with that site if you agree to their terms.

If you don’t immediately see a registration form, look for a link that says “Join”, “Sign Up”, or “Register”. Click that link and the registration form will appear.

If you have your auto-filling form software set up properly, it will detect every time a web page with forms appears. Click the “Fill” button and the registration form will be auto-filled with the information you entered when you set up the software previously.

The auto-fill process will usually not be able to fill in every single piece of information that the site requests but will cover a lot of it. You then fill in the remaining information manually. Usually what is left to fill out manually are just check boxes and not items that require a lot of typing

Registration with a survey company should take about 15 minutes on average. Varying amounts of information will be requested.

They will use the information to pre qualify you for surveys, so be as complete as possible.

At some point you should see a “Submit” or similar button to click, indicating the end of the registration. Many of the survey sites will send you an email confirming your registration. They may require that you click a link in the email you receive in order to complete the registration process.

That’s it! You have just registered with your first survey site. You’ll find that this is the most time-consuming phase of the paid online survey process, but it is crucial to your success so you need to persevere.

Determine how you want to continue with your registrations. You can budget a little time each day to register with a few sites at a time or you can have a few marathon sessions in which you register with all the sites you are eligible for as quickly as possible.

Whatever your approach, it is important to register with as many sites as possible. The more sites you are registered with, the more opportunities you will have to receive survey invitations.

How many sites you register with and how quickly you register with them is probably the single biggest contributor to your success that you can control.

Join a good database like SurveyScout.com and register for several hundred. Most of which will pay cash at some point.

• You have an email address dedicated to online surveys
• You have set up a PayPal account
• You’ve joined a paid survey database
• You’ve downloaded and are ready to use the form-filling software

Now it’s time to begin the registration process. Log into your paid survey database website and locate the page or pages that contain the market research site links. There should be hundreds of sites listed.

If you haven’t already signed up for a database signup below:
Paid Survey Database

A good database will indicate up front which geographic areas the site provides opportunities for and what types of opportunities are available, i.e. online surveys, focus groups, etc.

Tracking Registrations

Your database site may have recommendations regarding which survey sites to start with, if so follow their recommendations.

Approach the registrations in an organized manner. You should keep track of which survey sites you have registered with. You can create a chart to do that - either on paper, in a word processor, or through an Excel spreadsheet. It doesn’t have to be too complicated, whatever you are comfortable with.

Some people opt to just save the emails sent by the MRC to confirm their registration. It’s a good idea to save those emails in a separate folder anyway.

Any of these techniques will work, you just don’t want to come back to the list later and not be able to remember which sites you have already registered with and which you haven’t.

For more info check out the rest of our posts where we cover every possible aspect of succeeding with internet paid surveys.

Filling in Paid Surveys for Money

May 2nd, 2007

Taking Surveys for Cash

Form Filling Software

If you have selected and joined a good survey database site, they should provide software that speeds up the registrations with the survey sites.

Click here for one that does provide this.

In your eagerness to get started, don’t jump into the registration process without first downloading the software and taking a little time to set it up and understand how it works.

Taking advantage of some type of auto-form filling software can speed your registrations by approximately 300%. You will set up your identity or profile within the software. In plain English all this means is that you will enter basic information about yourself that the survey sites will be requesting.

This information is saved onto your own computer so that rather than having to repeatedly type that information at each site, the computer can do that work for you. The software will allow you to click a button and the information will be filled in for you automatically.

Fun with Paid Surveys

April 30th, 2007

Filling Out Paid Surveys Can Be Real Fun!

Online paid surveys
are like your own online PA systems where you are free to voice what you to say about different products or services-good or bad. If you are a starkly truth-speaker then you need not worry about being frowned upon because here you get paid to tell the truth.

If you were to consider surveys a few years ago, they could be a very uncomfortable experience and you could feel the sharp eyes of a marketing agent trying to judge you or even having to answer questions on the phone could be quite overwhelming. But these problems have been eradicated with the inception of paid online surveys, now you can anonymously fill in a survey whenever and wherever you feel comfortable.

Online paid surveys can be extremely interesting and you are one of the few people who are bought into the inner circle when a new product is launched. You even get to try new products and know about them before everyone else which is quite a special feeling in itself. Imagine if you are a car enthusiast who is the first to know about the latest model and the new, improved features of a dazzling car. Or even get to try on the latest fashions of the famous fashion houses or watch yet to be released movies well before they hit the cinemas! And here is what makes the deal sweeter – you even get to give your input on what you like and loathe.

There are just so many things you can change about society when you are exposed to taking surveys which make you think about social cause or even make you aware of what is behind certain products. Even your daily life can be enhanced because of the inputs you give to product manufacturers about what you would like to see in your normal, everyday products. These things may not be the things you would give second thought to on a normal day. You can also take part in focus group surveys that will be a ground for interaction with others from many parts of the world and the fun of a group experience. It just feels like one big party.

Most of these surveys are set up to be like games that you can play for some real cash. So, what you give is a little of your time and your opinion and what you get in return is some neat cash and also some latest news and new product launches. All this doesn’t sound like real work now does it? So whoever said that taking online paid surveys wasn’t a fun thing?

Pros and Cons of Online Paid Surveys

April 29th, 2007

Getting Paid for Taking Surveys - For or Against?

While paid online surveys are quickly becoming an accepted part of cyber culture, the proliferation of scammers is also on the rise. Many large companies are willing to pay you a little something for giving your opinion and bettering their products. However this income opportunity has its pros and cons and we will be discussing them in this article starting  with the pros first…

Pros of Online Paid Surveys:

Ease and flexibility - This is the most important aspect that goes in the favor of paid online surveys according to me. Taking surveys hardly needs 15 minutes to an hour’s time. You don’t have to compromise on anything and do this in your spare time and make some easy money, also you are not time bound you can take a survey anytime, anywhere when you have the time and access to the internet.

Quick Money - Surveys can fetch you anything between a single dollar to even up to 100 dollars per survey depending on the length of the survey. Even if this money is not a huge amount, if you sign up with several survey sites you can easily get a number of surveys and your income can be a tidy sum besides it is not really something that needs hard work so you can use this as fun money.

Fun Freebies and Group Surveys - There are many companies that will give you a sample of their new product, so you can also get a chance of getting some new cosmetics or even ready-to-cook meals to try for free. There is also something called a Group Survey which is basically a number of people collaborating in a group discussion and taking a survey together, this can be a wonderful and enjoyable experience if you are the talkative and expressive type.

Making a Difference - Market research firms have realized that online surveys can reach a larger audience and can be much easier than manual surveys. When you take a survey, your input is being used by product manufacturers for the betterment of everyday products and generally easing life.

Stress busting - I just think taking these paid online surveys is very stress relieving and besides you get paid to give your opinion.

Cons of Online Paid Surveys:

Flooding - This is the problem when there is too much of a good thing. Today the internet is flooded with online survey companies and it is becoming increasingly difficult to tell the real from the fakes.

Scammer’s Haven - Well, you will also find a whole new breed of people who are willing to make quick money off of quick money schemes. The internet is teeming with spammers who are acting as online paid survey companies.
