Registering With the Paid Survey Market Research Sites

Congratulations!

You’ve completed all the preliminary steps to succeeding with online surveys.
• You have an email address dedicated to online surveys
• You have set up a PayPal account
• You’ve joined a paid survey database
• You’ve downloaded and are ready to use the form-filling software

Now it’s time to begin the registration process. Log into your paid survey database website and locate the page or pages that contain the market research site links. There should be hundreds of sites listed.

A good database will indicate up front which geographic areas the site provides opportunities for and what types of opportunities are available, i.e. online surveys, focus groups, etc.

Tracking Registrations

Your database site may have recommendations regarding which survey sites to start with, if so follow their recommendations.

Approach the registrations in an organized manner. You should keep track of which survey sites you have registered with. You can create a chart to do that - either on paper, in a word processor, or through an Excel spreadsheet. It doesn’t have to be too complicated, whatever you are comfortable with.

Some people opt to just save the emails sent by the MRC to confirm their registration. It’s a good idea to save those emails in a separate folder anyway.

Any of these techniques will work, you just don’t want to come back to the list later and not be able to remember which sites you have already registered with and which you haven’t.
